That is correct that NTPC has some major plans for this fiscal. For example it is targeting Rs.98,000 crore revenues from operations. It is also targeting to produce close to 15 MT of coal output from its captive mines in the current fiscal.
In addition, NTPC is also aiming at 340 billion units of power generation in 2020-21 in line with its MOU with the Power Ministry. NTPC is also planning capital expenditure of Rs.21,000 crore in this fiscal year.
In terms of capacity expansion, NTPC has over 20 GW of capacity under construction right now of which 5 GW pertains to renewable energy projects while the balance are traditional fossil fuel based power sources.
