Can you tell me about the forthcoming IPO of Emcure Pharma?

Emcure Pharma has just received SEBI approval for its proposed IPO. It had filed the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) more than 2 months back. SEBI has given its observations which is equivalent to approval. The IPO of Emcure will comprise of a fresh issue of Rs.1,100 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 181.68 lakh shares by promoters and early investors. The price band will eventually decide the total size of the issue.

While dates are not yet announced, it is expected that the Emcure IPO could happen either in late December or in early January. Emcure is also exploring a pre-IPO placement of Rs.200 crore, in which case the IPO size will be cut proportionately. Emcure Pharma develops, manufactures and markets a range of pharmaceutical products. It currently has presence in over 70 markets. Emcure is also currently developing RNA vaccine for COVID-19.
