Can you tell me about the new Adani subsidiary for its data centre business?

India’s leading diversified conglomerate, the Adani Group, has just incorporated its new subsidiary for a data centre in the city of Mumbai. In addition, Adani group is planning to launch such similar data centres across 5 other locations also. It may be recollected that Budget 2022 had accorded infrastructure status to data centres with all the concomitant business and funding benefits accruing to them.

The data centres will be housed under Adani Connex Private Limited, which is a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and Edge Connex Europe. Adani Connex will undertake to develop, operate, maintain data centres, IT/ITES/Cloud services etc. Data centres provide the necessary secured data architecture for housing large data for third parties. Adani Enterprises is the company that incubates new ideas in the Adani group.
