For the September 2022 quarter, Bharti Airtel reported 21.9% growth in top line sales revenues at Rs34,527 crore on a consolidated basis. As of date, Airtel 5G has already gone live in 8 Indian cities with more to be added in a phased manner. The total customer base of Bharti Airtel across franchises stood at 50.15 crore while the network towers numbered 286,570 units. For the Q2FY23, Bharti Airtel reported EBITDA of Rs17,721 crore and EBIT of 8,762 crore. Capex stood at Rs70,469 crore while net debt was Rs2.10 trillion in Q2. Operating free cash flows (net of capex) were Rs106,742 crore in the Q2FY23 quarter.

As can be seen in the table above. For the September 2022 quarter, the net profits surged by 89.2% (almost doubled yoy) at Rs2,145 crore. The momentum of growth is evident from the fact that even on sequential basis the growth is 33.52%. Bharti Airtel reported EBITDA margins for Q2FY23 at 51.2% and EBIT margins of 25.4%, both above industry averages. The net debt to EBITDA ratio was a fairly comfortable 2.96X. The company trades at an EV/EBITDA ratio of 9.46X while the PE ratio is expensive at 65.8 times, but that is more due to profit catch up likely to happen. Net Margins were at 6.2% in Q2FY23 compared to 4% in Q2FY22 and net margins stood at 4.90% in Q1FY23. Profits were at record levels in Q2FY23.
