Can you tell me about the recent deal between BEL and HAL?

Hindustan Aeronautics signed a Rs.2,400 crore contract with BEL for development and supply of 20 types of systems for Light Combat Aircraft Tejas Mk1A program. This deal will have a tenure of 5 years extending from 2023 to 2028. It entails supply of critical avionics, LRUs, flight control computers and night flying LRUs. The entire design for this order will be done by the Defence Research Development Laboratories (DRDL), Bengaluru.
