Can you tell me about the recent investments proposed by Berger Paints and Dhunseri group of Kolkata?

Berger Paints, a leading player in decorative paints, and the Kolkata-based diversified Dhunseri Group propose to invest around Rs.500 crore at the Panagarh industrial park near city of Durgapur and they have already sought land for their projects. Berger Paints is currently planning to invest Rs.100 crore to manufacture construction chemicals and putty.

On the other hand, the diversified Dhunseri Ventures will set up a packaging material unit for food processing, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals at an estimated outlay of Rs.400 crore. Berger has received in-principle approval for 22 acres of land while Dhunseri Ventures has sought 38 acres in the industrial park, sources said.
