After a long gap, we are likely to see two fairly large sized IPOs coming almost at the same time. These two IPOs will look to raise Rs.2,996 crore in the coming week. The two IPOs are critical because they come after a long gap with IPO action being largely tepid in the first quarter of 2022. Also, this comes just ahead of the LIC IPO and will not only test the appetite for IPO in the market, but also give confidence for other IPOs in the pipeline.
Let me talk about the Campus Activewear IPO first. Campus Activewear IPO is opening on the 26th April and will close for subscription on 28ths April. The entire issue will be an offer for sale (OFS) of shares by promoters and early investors to the tune of Rs.1,400 crore. Campus is one of the leading athletic and leisure footwear companies in India and commands a market share of nearly 17% in the mid-market segment, targeted at youth.
The other IPO of Rainbow Children Medicare is a Rs.1,596 crore issue comprising of a fresh issue component of Rs.296 crore and an offer for sale for the balance amount. The IPO of Hyderabad based Rainbow Children Medicare opens on 27th April and closes on 29th April. Rainbow specializes in paediatrics, gynaecology and obstetrics and has a network of 6 hospitals across India with a bed capacity of 1,500 beds. It started operations in 1999.
