Zomato is setting new records in terms of new customers acquired, total number of customers serviced and the total number of orders serviced. Apart from a simple app, brand recall and top-of mind is a big edge for Zomato.

More importantly, they are in the right place at the right time. Zomato is in the right market, with the right set up and at the right time when digital is exploding in India and WFH is driving people indoors. It has pedigreed backing of Ant Financial, Softbank and T Rowe Price. Don’t forget that Zomato is consistently narrowing losses. For all the costs sunk till date, it is now time for Zomato to reap benefits. That is the platform you get in the IPO.
