Here are some key highlights of the Hurun India Wealth Survey that is just out.

· According to the survey, stocks as an asset class will continue to be the favoured asset class for HNIs and ultra HNIs in India.

· The survey also points out that real estate, once a preferred asset class for the high-net-worth individuals, will no longer be the preferred asset class any longer.

· According to the Hurun survey, there were 412,000 dollar-millionaire households in India and 23,000 families with net worth above Rs.100 crore.

· In the next 3 years, 35% of the HNI respondents planned to hike allocation to equities while 27% planned to cut down sharply on real estate allocation.

· As an investment destination and for higher studies of children, the US was still the favoured overseas investment destination for 26.6% respondents

· AMEX was the preferred credit card brand for the high net worth segment in India followed by HDFC Bank and Citibank.
