On behalf of Franklin Templeton AMC, SBI MF just paid out the 8th tranche of Rs.985 crore to unitholders of the 6 shuttered debt funds. This takes the total disbursal to unitholders of the 6 funds to Rs.26,098 crore, representing 103% of the AUM on 23-April 2020.
SBI MF was appointed by the Supreme Court and they will extinguish proportionate units at NAV against these redemption pay-outs. In Apr-20 Templeton decided to shutter 6 debt schemes due to redemption pressures and bad liquidity.
