Has Satya Nadella of Microsoft joined as investor in Fintech firm, Groww?

It is reported that the CEO of Microsoft, Mr. Satya Nadella, has joined as an investor and an advisor to Groww. This was also announced in a press release by Groww. Now, Groww is one of India’s new age online investment platforms, which operates on the confluence of technology and finance and is popularly called as Fintech platforms.

Groww has been trying to reach financial services to a much wider audience across the length and breadth of India. In its last round of funding in Oct-21, Groww was valued at $3 billion, so it is a Unicorn three times over. Apart from Lone Pine Capital and Steadfast; Sequoia, Ribbit Capital and Tiger Global also participated. Groww facilitates investing in direct mutual funds, ETFs, stocks and IPOs and has over 2 crore registered on the platform.
