The government has asked BSNL, MTNL and other private telecom companies to ban all Chinese products, Chinese equipment and also avoid any deals with Chinese companies. This could play a major role in 4G upgrading of Indian telecom as China was supposed to play a key role. Also, China’s Huawei is an important player in 5G telecom services. The relations between India and China after China showed unprovoked aggression in killing 20 Indian soldiers by transgressing into Indian territories. Currently, India runs a huge monthly import bill of $70 billion per year with China and the CAIT has already called upon its members to reduce the overall dependence by $13 billion. India has already blamed Chinese army for the unnecessary violence on the LAC border.
