A recent study by ICRA has shown that the hospital occupancy rates increased sharply during COVID 2.0 and that has resulted in a steep rise in the revenues of hospital companies. In Q1 ended in Jun-21, blended occupancy stood at 64.2% against 36.8% in the first quarter of previous year. There was a distinctive spike in COVID-19 related occupancies but this also impacted the average revenue per occupied bed which fell by 4.2% on a yoy basis.
