There are two different ways in which you can invest in international equities. Let us discuss them:

1) Directly through a broker website: This is just like your investment in any other equity. You have to open a Demat account with any brokerage house. You can either choose an Indian brokerage firm such as IIFL securities, 5 paisa, Motilal Oswal, ICICI direct, which has a tie-up with a foreign brokerage house. Or it can be through some new-age startup-like Vested, IndMoney, which has a direct link with global brokerage houses. And just like any other trade, you can continue buying or selling international equities. However, this route is suitable for those with large transactions as the cost is high.

2) Through a mutual fund: So, you can just invest through a mutual fund and you will not have to invest your time in any additional paperwork or anything. This would be just like your investment in any other domestic or global mutual fund. So, you get a ton of options to choose from. If you invest through mutual funds, you also get options based on countries, emerging markets, geographies, sectors, and much more.
