How did the heavyweights on Nifty perform in the last week to 21-January?

The 10 most valuable companies gave up Rs.253,000 crore last week. Among major value losers, TCS and Infosys lost a combined Rs.109,498 crore, Reliance Industries Rs.40,974 crore, HDFC Bank Rs.13,563 crore, ICICI Bank lost Rs.10,812 crore and Bajaj Finance fell Rs.27,654 crore. In addition, HDFC lost Rs.22,004 crore and Bharti Airtel Rs.14,087 crore during the week. It was a combination of higher inflation and pre-budget uncertainty.
