How did the highest market cap companies on the Nifty perform during the week ended 06 August?

During the previous week, a total of 9 out of the 10 most valuable companies on Nifty, ended with positive gains of Rs.223,000 crore. In fact, Bajaj Finance was the sole exception in the top-10 list losing value during the week. The biggest gainers were TCS gaining Rs.52,767 crore, HDFC Bank gaining Rs.37,563 crore and HDFC adding Rs.34,174 crore to its market capitalization during the week.

Among other gainers for the week, Reliance Industries added Rs.34,011 crore to its market cap, Kotak Mahindra Bank added Rs.24,585, Infosys Rs.17,079 crore, ICICI Bank increased its market cap by Rs.10,182 crore. In addition, HUL added Rs.8,705 crore of market value in the week while SBI also managed to add Rs.3,525 crore. The only exception was Bajaj Finance which ended with minor losses in the week.
