Both India and the US announced inflation levels much higher than the projected levels. Indian CPI inflation came in at 6.95% while US inflation came in sharply higher at 8.5% for the month of March. While Fed is already clear about its hawkish stance after 41-year highs in inflation, the RBI is yet to make up its mind of whether to be hawkish or dovish.
