How did the most liquid companies on Nifty fare in the previous week ending 18th February?

For the previous week ending on 18th February, a total of five out of the ten most valuable companies on the Nifty by market capitalization managed to aggregate enhance the value of the market by Rs.85,713 crore. During the week, the markets were marginally higher by 0.56%. In terms of specific stocks, the big gains came from TCS, RIL and HUVR which stood out as the key gainers in a highly volatile market.

For the previous week, IT major TCS led the pack as it added Rs.36,695 crore in market cap. Among others, Reliance added Rs.32,015 crore, Hindustan Unilever Rs.12,782 crore, HDFC Rs.2,704 crore and Bajaj Finance added Rs.1,518 crore. On the other hand, ICICI Bank lost Rs.28,780 crore, SBI fell Rs.12,361 crore, Infosys gave up Rs.5,846 crore, HDFC Bank ceded Rs.3,400 crore and Bharti Airtel Rs.962 crore. Overall, the gainers got the better.
