How did the most liquid companies perform in the stock markets in the previous week ended 25th March?

Here is how the 10 most liquid companies by market capitalization performed in the previous week. The overall picture was mixed with Reliance offsetting a lot of the losses in individual stocks during the week. The losers among the top 10 companies on the Nifty saw market cap erosion of Rs.114,202 crore during the week. The markets were dragged down by Hindustan Unilever and HDFC Twins which pulled markets lower by 86 bps.

Among the big value losers during the week, Hindustan Unilever lost Rs.34,786 crore, HDFC Bank gave up Rs.26,892 crore, HDFC lost close to Rs.20,348 crore, ICICI Bank depleted by Rs.14,373 crore, SBI Rs.10,174 crore and Bharti Airtel was lower by Rs.7,442 crore. There were select gainers too during the week. Reliance added Rs.79,188 crore in market value, TCS added Rs.12,114 crore and Infosys showed an increase of Rs.9,404 crore in the week.
