For the week ended on 12th November, 6 out of the top 10 most valuable companies on the Nifty by market capitalization saw value accretion to the tune of Rs.118,383 crore for the week ended 12-November. The heavyweights that added most heft to the Nifty were Reliance and Infosys. In terms of specific rupee contributions to the gain, Reliance added Rs.59,437 crore in market cap and Infosys Rs.29,691 crore to market value in the week.
Among others gainers during the week, HDFC added Rs.17,187 crore, TCS Rs.5,715 crore and Kotak Bank added Rs.3,302 crore. Bajaj Finance also ended with positive gains for the week. On the downside, HDFC Bank was a value loser giving up Rs.22,545 crore while SBI gave up Rs.17,135 crore. Two other losers in the week were Hindustan Unilever losing value by Rs.3,912 crore and ICICI Bank by Rs. 3,811 crore.
