For the week ended 09 July, it was observed that 60% of the top 10 most valuable companies by market cap on the Nifty index actually depleted value worth of Rs.92,147 crore. During the week , the big market cap losers were companies like TCS and Reliance Industries.
Among the major value losers, TCS conceded Rs.43,575 crore, Reliance Industries gave up Rs.35,501 crore, HUL Rs.9,140 crore and Infosys lost Rs.1,982 crore. ICICI Bank and SBI also saw small losses. Among gainers, HDFC Bank added Rs.11,689 crore, Bajaj Finance added Rs.8,333 crore and HDFC Rs.3,910 crore. Sensex was down 98.48 points in the week.
