How do you see the budget impacting realty and construction sector?

For realty stocks it was mostly disappointment at no fresh announcements in the budget to facilitate the sector. In fact, in the pre budget deliberations, the realty sector had demanded measures to enhance credit availability for developers. The realty sector has also asked to be accorded industry status as that would be instrumental in propelling sales. The proposed cut in personal tax rates that could have enhanced purchasing power of middle class was also elusive. The fall in stock price of realty stocks was literally across the board.
