A recent report by CARE Ratings expects the Indian pharma industry to grow by at least 11% annually over the next 12 years to touch a level of $60 billion in terms of pharma output.
The CARE report has underlined several advantages for the Indian pharma industry including patent expiry pipeline, global reduction in China dependency, Spate of PE investments in pharma as well as a revival in demand for generics post COVID-19. India is still a generics dominated market.
