US GDP growth for the Dec-21 quarter came in at 6.9% compared to just 2.3% in Sep-21 quarter. For the full year 2021, GDP growth of 5.7% is the best in 37 years. Growth has been fuelled by the massive stimulus by the Fed and the US government. This paves the way for the Fed rate hike in March. However, this growth has been driven by companies restocking and not by consumption demand.
