Ahead of its IPO opening, Adani Wilmar garnered Rs.940 crore from anchor investors on 25-Jan. The IPO opened on 27-January. Adani Wilmar has allocated 4.09 crore equity shares to anchor investors at a price of Rs.230 per share, which is the upper end of the price band of the IPO. Among the biggest anchor investors were Government of Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
This is not surprising considering Adani Wilmar is 50:50 joint venture between Adani Group and Wilmar of Singapore. Among the other key anchor investors were Jupiter India Fund, HDFC MF and Nippon MF. The total anchor allocation was worth Rs.940 crore and the domestic mutual funds and FPIs participated in a big way.
