How was the anchor investor response to the Medplus Health Services IPO, which opens for subscription on Monday, 13-December?

Normally, the anchor issue bidding is done a day before the IPO opening and the anchor bidding for Medplus Health Services was completed on Friday 10-December. The stock is priced in the band of Rs.780 to Rs.796 and will be open for subscription from 13-December to 15-December. Anchor allotments are locked-in for 1 month and without discounts.

On Friday, the Medplus Health Services completed its anchor allocation to the QIBs. A total of 52.51 lakh shares were allotted across a total of 36 anchor investors, both domestic and international. The anchor allotment was done at upper band of Rs.796 with total value of Rs.417.99 crore. A total of 14 anchor investors absorbed 70% of the issue size and there were from local and global QIBs.

The investor anchor list read like a who’s who. Among FPIs it included Goldman Sachs, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Morgan Stanley, Blackrock and Nomura. Domestic funds and insurances were also active in the anchor placement list. Some of the marquee domestic names included SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life Insurance, ICICI Prudential Life, HDFC MF, Kotak MF, DSP Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund and Motilal AMC. MFs were 34.21%.
