Canara Bank net profit was up 115% at Rs.1,502 crore for Dec-21 quarter on 14.1% rise in interest income (NII) at Rs.6,946 crore and lower provisioning. Loan loss provisions fell 35.6% to Rs.2,946 crore. NIMs expanded marginally from 2.79% to 2.83% yoy. Gross NPAs are fairly comfortable at 7.8% while slippages in the quarter stood at Rs.2,699 crore.
