The Indian subsidiary of Germany based BASF AG, BASF India Ltd, reported 20.8% growth in sales revenues for Q4FY22. Full year FY22 revenues were higher by 37% at Rs12,970 crore on robust demand for its agrochemicals products. The company witnessed revenue growth across agricultural solutions, materials, industrial solutions, chemicals as well as nutrition and care verticals. Cash from operations fell yoy due to higher working capital locked up in inventories. BASF recommended final dividend of 60% for FY22 subject to approval.

Net profit for Q4FY22 were up an attractive 168.5% at Rs149.85 crore. The vertical that contributed most to the growth in operating profits for the quarter was agricultural solutions and nutrition & Care. In the case of all the other segments profits were lower yoy. BASF India did face supply chain disruptions like most of industries Net margins were at 4.42% in Q4FY22 quarter compared to 1.99% in Q4FY21.
