Net profits for Q4FY22 increased by a whopping 164.46% at Rs2,008 crore and during the quarter, there was a sharp growth in operating EBIT in the India and the Africa telecom businesses of Airtel. However, it must be noted that a largely part of the profit growth also happened due to a Rs906 crore exceptional gain from the sale of telecom assets as well as a one-time settlement with a strategic vendor. Net margins for the March 2022 quarter stood at 6.37% compared to 2.95% in Q4FY21. NPM was higher compared to 2.81% in Q3FY22.
