Vodafone Idea losses for the March 2022 quarter narrowed sharply to Rs-6,563 crore. However, it still looks to be a long way away from getting into profits. For the fourth quarter, the total revenues increased by 6.5% to Rs.10,239 crore. The company is EBITDA positive with the EBITDA for the quarter up 5.4% at Rs.4,649 crore. Interestingly, the all-important average revenues per user (ARPU) was up 7.5% sequentially at Rs.124.
On the one hand, the ARPU still remains much lower than competition. But what could really hurt the company is that it lost 34 lakh subscribers in recent months reducing its user base to 24.4 crore. Vodafone has however countered saying that the 4G customer had continued to grow on voice and data experience. In terms of solvency, Vodafone Idea still looks the most vulnerable among the lot.
