In FY21 banks and financial institutions invested Rs.870 crore in IPOs, double that of FY19. However, FY17 holds the record for Rs.4,548 crore infused into IPOs by banks and financial institutions as a slew of PSUs had hit the IPO market in 2017. Major IPO investors among banks include IDBI Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank, Bank of India and Bank of Baroda. Recent IPOs where banks showed interest were Clean Science, Lakshmi Organics and Sona Comstar.
