Is it true that L&T is also getting into green hydrogen?

After Reliance and the Adani Group, now even Larsen & Toubro is targeting green hydrogen in a big way. As a start, it has inked an agreement with ReNew Power to capitalize on the $60 billion green hydrogen opportunity in India. L&T hopes to generate business worth $2 billion from green hydrogen.

It will be an interesting combination. L&T will bring its deep expertise in designing, executing and delivering EPC projects. On the other hand, ReNew gets its renewable energy projects capacity management to the table. Green hydrogen is greenhouse gas free and can help countries attain net-zero emission targets rapidly. Demand for green hydrogen in India is estimated at 2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) by 2030.
