Is it true that Paytm will be among the 10 most valuable company when it lists in India?

That would largely depend on the valuation that the company gets on listing. It is estimated that Paytm would look at a valuation in the range of $25 to $30 billion although the road shows will give greater clarity. At $30 billion, Paytm would comfortably positioned among the most valuable financial stocks in India. It may be noted that One97 Communication, the parent company of Paytm, filed its DRHP with SEBI last week for a Rs.16,600 crore issue.

The last valuation was done for Paytm during its placement of shares in November 2019 and at that time it had been valued at $16 billion. With all the dividends of the pandemic driving more of digital transactions, market experts and investment bankers are pegging the valuation of Paytm in post listing terms at closer to Rs.225,000 crore. Even at $25 billion, Paytm will be the ninth most valuable financial company in India.
