Is it true that the Carlyle – PNB Housing deal has been finally approved?

The question is approved by whom? I think you are referring to the latest approval of the deal by the Competition Commission of India or CCI. But, the deal is currently stuck because the Securities Appellate Tribunal or SAT is yet to pass the final order on the SEBI stricture asking PNB Housing to put the deal on hold till independent valuation is conducted.

The SAT final order is still pending and that will take a final call on whether the deal can proceed as it is or an independent valuation is required.
