That is correct, it does look like bonus season as companies look to rewards their shareholders with free shares via capitalization of reserves. This would also bring the higher priced shares into a more reasonable retail purview. Among some of the well-known names, Varun Beverages has announced 1:2 bonus and has set the record date for eligible bonus allottees at 07th June. In addition, AU Small Finance Bank also announced 1:1 bonus with 10th June as the record date for shareholders to appear on the register of shareholders.

Cosmo Films is another company that is issuing bonus in the ratio of 1:2 and the record date has been fixed at 17th June. Of course, not to forget, the big ticket bonus of IOCL in the ratio of 1:2 has also fixed July 01st as the record date. This is one of the largest bonus issues that will be paid out in the next one month. Finally, Ratnamani Metals has also announced 1:2 bonus shares for existing shareholders with record date for the bonus issue fixed at 01st July 2022. All are subject to approval.
