Vodafone Idea is currently the only telecom company that has opted for the 4-year moratorium. This allows them to clear their Adjusted Gross Revenue or AGR dues and spectrum charge dues over a period of four years. This was part of the special offer made by the government and offered to telecom companies as part of the Telecom Relief Package.
Vodafone Idea will now be required to clear the AGR dues and the SUC payments over a period of 4 years starting October 2021. This will make Vodafone the first Indian telco to sign up for the 4-year moratorium option. The last date was 29-Oct. However, the moratorium is subject to Vodafone paying interest on the due amount.
