Indian government may set export limits to restrict exports amidst likely domestic shortages. The response to government procurement this year has been tepid since prices are well above the MSP. Government will prioritize domestic consumption of wheat from June onwards. Government targeted export of 10 million tonnes of wheat in FY23.
