Well, the only amount that mutual fund distributor receives is their fees/commission or brokerage and they do not charge anything additional for KYC services.
It has been kept mandatory by SEBI to follow the KYC norms as directed. However, you can call these services as complementary services and distributors generally do not charge for that from the client.
