Here are some of the key market cues you need to watch for in this week.

· Nifty closed -4% lower last week on sell-off after the Fed and RBI hiked rates. Mid-caps and small caps fell by -7%. The pressure is likely to continue in the coming week also, as is already evident from the big gap-down for the Nifty in early trades on Monday.

· Markets will react to RIL results, where sequential numbers were tad disappointing. Large cap results include Asian Paints, Adani Ports, Cipla, L&T, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors and UPL. Mid-cap results this week include HAL, Siemens, Bandhan Bank, PNB, Petronet LNG, Polycab India, Dalmia Bharat.

· It is a big week for IPO this week. Final response to LIC IPO after 6 days of subscriptions will be known on Monday. There are 3 IPOs opening this week viz. Delhivery, Prudent Corporate Advisory and Venus Pipes collecting Rs.6,000 crore in all. There will be the Campus Activewear IPO listing on 09th May and Rainbow Healthcare on 10th May.

· Big macro data points expected this week. CPI inflation on 12th May likely to see inflation spike from 6.95% to above 7.50%. IIP on 12th May likely to taper 20 bps from 1.7% to 1.5% on supply chain bottlenecks. Trade data on 13th May expected to see trade deficit widen to above the $20 billion mark once again.

· Big global data point this week will be US consumer inflation on 11th May. It is expected to taper by 40 bps as per Bloomberg estimates from 8.5% to 8.1%. Other major US cues include focus on US Consumer Inflation, Redbook, Weekly API Crude stocks, jobless claims, core PPI, FOMC speak. Other global cues include UK GDP, IIP, Trade; EU ECB speak, IIP; Japan policy minutes, PMI, CAS; China CPI, Trade, PPI, FDI.

Overall, it is likely to be an extremely busy and data heavy week.
