Interestingly, the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, has sought India’s support for the tough stance that the US and Europe adopted towards Russia. However, India has diplomatically refrained from overtly criticising Russia. Even during the UNSC and the UNGA votes, India abstained from voting.
