GST Council meeting on 30-Dec will discuss on rate rationalization and correction in duty inversion in select goods. There have been demands to merge the 12% and 18% slabs as well as remove some goods from the exempt category. One more item to be debated will be the Textiles asking for rollback of GST from 12% back to 5%
