What will be the picture of the GMR businesses post the demerger of airports business?

The NCLT has approved the proposal put up by GMR Infrastructure to demerge its non-airport businesses into a separate listed entity. This will help the GMR group to better create value for shareholders. GMR currently has a lucrative airport portfolio handling passenger capacity of 172 million. This includes India’s busiest airport of IGIDR at New Delhi. The energy, urban infrastructure and EPC business will be moved to GMR Power.
