In a Budget there are two main changes that the common man, or the aam aadmi, is looking for:
1. Increase in Section 80C deduction limit 2. Increase all income tax slabs for all age groups
There were a lot of expectations from Union Budget 2018-19 from the point of view of increasing Section 80C deduction limit, but that didn’t happen.
With general elections around the corner, the Finance Ministry may announce a populist budget to appease the masses. Thus, speculations and expectations are high that the Section 80C deduction limit will be increased at least this Budget.
