Hexagon Nutrition has filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI for its proposed Rs.600 crore IPO. The IPO will comprise of a fresh issue component of Rs 100 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 500 crore. The fresh issue portion will be used to defray borrowings and for funding capex.
Hexagon basically makes products for fortification of foods and alleviation of malnutrition. Apart from a strong presence in India, its products are also exported to 70 countries. Its client roster includes Coca Cola, Amul, Dabur India, and Marico. The IPO approval typically takes 2-3 months from the filing of DRHP.
