Which mutual funds has given the highest return?

Returns generated by various asset classes or financial instruments are cyclical in nature as they are linked to market conditions. For example, equities may outperform when everything is goods everywhere but gold may outperform at times of global crisis (financial stress, geopolitical tensions, etc.). In another example, technology, healthcare, and gold-based funds did very well during the year 2020 but if the same will continue in 2021, is not guaranteed. What is performing today may or may not be performing tomorrow due to the dynamic nature of asset classes.
It is never in the interest of investors to chase the best or top-performing instruments as such performance could be short-lived. Instead, regular and disciplined investment following a suitable asset allocation pays off patient investors in the long run. However, it is always advisable that before considering any investment activities, investors should undergo a comprehensive risk profiling exercise and invest as per their risk appetite, investment horizon, and realistic financial goals of life.
