Indian refiners are skipping Russia ESPO crude due to higher freight rates, which his making it $5 more expensive than Middle East crude. India finds African and GCC oil cheaper. India had become Russia’s second largest oil customer after China, but higher freight rates from Russia are offsetting the advantage. GCC is also cutting prices in October.
