Why has SEBI asked Dish TV to disclose their AGM outcome?

SEBI has instructed Dish TV to disclose the final outcome of its 10th December AGM to the stock exchanges within 24 hours. This was based on a complaint filed by Yes Bank and IndusInd Bank about the results being withheld. Yes Bank and IndusInd hold 28.56% stake in Dish TV between the two of them.

Dish TV was statutorily required to disclose the results before 03rd Jan 2022. Meanwhile, SEBI has asked the NSDL and CDSL to freeze the demat accounts of the directors till the outcome of the voting at the AGM were disclosed. Interestingly, Yes Bank had also been demanding the removal of Jawahar *** Goel from the Board.
