The FPIs sold shares worth Rs.1700 crore in the first week of December. That is largely due to the weak data points coming in. Core sector growth continue to remain negative for the second month in succession while the GDP for the September quarter has come in at a low of 4.5% while even RBI estimates have pegged full year GDP growth at just about 5%. All these factors have made FPIs wary of investing in India.
